Apr. 24th, 2017

Hi Everyone!,

Another amazing week! We had so much happen, this week went by super fast for us! Sister Jones and I are really excited to be staying here another transfer together. We have been able to work really well together and experienced much success. Travis got baptized! Sister Sprouse, the one who first met him got to come back and that was fun. Daisy and Genesis are set to get baptized next Sunday

Also I will be going on Saturday the 29th back to Kerman for a baptism! SO excited for that! Yay!!
Wahoo! Bianca and Della are doing awesome as well and have a baptismal date for May! We are super excited to keep working with them. They are both almost done with all the lessons!

More great news, right now we are living in Porterville but we found a little house in Lindsay we are moving to on the 12th of May! We are super excited, a lot nicer than where we live now. We got to help do a fun service project in Porterville! It was for a color run, and we held signs with arrows to direct the runners. It was so much fun cause Sister Jones and I were so loud. People came by us and were like, "you have been the best motivators yet!" We thanked them and told them to just keep going! Haha so much of that reminded us of how we are to God. He is like, "Come, you got to keep going,  keep pressing forward, the reward is near!" Just helping us along.

Recently we have had a lot of people express to us how can they be forgiven when they don't forgive themselves? We told them God loves all of his children and that the light of Christs atonement will always shine brighter. I told them to think of a dark house, the second you light a match you can instantly see around you. That small light overpowers ALL darkness. That ONE step toward God will help you. It all starts with us though. I know that God has chosen us at this time for a reason. He just desires for us to choose him. I know that when we choose him we will always be happy. I know that choosing the right isn't always easy but it is ALWAYS right. It will always lead to everlasting happiness. I know that our Savior lives, he loves us, and he grasps us when we are falling. The second we let our doubts in our faith is gone. They can not consist at the same time. We must hold onto our faith and keep walking with Christ. He can change us, he can heal us! Love love love you all, thanks for the constant support!

 Have a great week!

Love you all so much!

Hi Everyone!,

Another great week here in Lindsay! Hope everyone had an amazing Easter! We got to go to a few barbecues and it was so much fun! All the parks will filled with parties, kite flying, Easter egg hunts, and tons of volleyball. We had a fun time talking to people and talking about the true meaning of Easter. Sister Jones and I were so surprised to hear that so many people didn't even understand why we had it.  We read the story to them and a lot of people enjoyed it!

In sacrament a few of us sang the song Gethsemane! It went well and Sister Jones got to play the piano. Sister Jones also hide some eggs for me while I was in the shower and I did the same it was kind of funny as we ran around the apartment looking for them like little kids again!

We have lots of fun exploring Lindsay! We continue to have the Lords guidance in his work! It is truly a blessing! We have a baptism coming up on the 22nd for Travis! We are so excited!

We had an amazing opportunity as well to go to the temple this week!!! I love going it always helps me and gives me the strength and faith to keep going! I even saw Sister Boyd who was the Relief Society President in Kerman! It was so cool! I also received news that Jasmine will be getting baptized on the 29th and am hoping I can go! She was a 9 year old we were working with before I left Kerman the work is hastening!

I have truly understood that faith is what keeps us going through thick and thin.
WE HAVE TRANSFER CALLS THIS WEEKEND! I am really hoping we both stay even though Sister Jones has been here for awhile. We both just work so well together and we have been striving so hard to sacrifice! We are planning on doing a lot of biking this week!

We also got to do some awesome service this week! Wahoo!

I hope everyone has a great week! Love you all !

Apr. 10th, 2017

Hey Everyone!,

Hope everyone had a great past week! It has been another amazing week here in Lindsay! Miracles just keep coming our way. Our mission president has been pushing SACRIFICE! He has challenged us to jump to our potentials and to give up our own time to hastening the work. It has been truly a blessing for our mission. The assistants to the President gave us a call this past week and asked us to share our testimonies on how we have been sacrificing! They said they were thinking of power companions that are "on fire" and Sister Jones and I came to mind! I was so happy. We shared our testimonies in Zone Conference and it was a great experience!

Last week I talked about the girl we taught in the park. Her name is Delah and she is progressing really well! We went back to teach her and she wasn't there but her friend was, about the same age, and she said she felt something when we were there last time and wants to be baptized too! We also have been working with Travis, an investigator for awhile now and he wants to be baptized on the 22nd. Also have been working with some part member families a kid named Aidan and we are hoping another investigator Daisy and her daughter get baptized this month too! We have about seven baptisms lined up for this month and we are praying they follow through! Our recent convert Gabriel just got confirmed yesterday and received the Aaronic Priesthood!

We also did a fun Service Project on Saturday. We went and did a helping hands project.  It was at a cemetery taking pictures of tombstones and cleaning up the  cemetery. It was to help the indexing and family history move forward!

The fair is in town! Haha we have been standing right outside of it talking to tons of people it has been awesome! So many blessing! I know that this work is the best work any of us can be involved in. It changes lives and it changes people! I know when we sacrifice the Lord blesses us so much. I love talking to our brothers and sisters about his gospel! If ye love me. feed my sheep! I love it!

Have a great week everyone! HAPPY EASTER!!!!

Hi Everyone!

How was everyone's week? We had such an amazing week! We literally saw so many blessings as we thought of more ways we could sacrifice. Such as using time more effectively and speaking to everyone! Our mission president said talk to anything that breathes.. we even gave a picture to a cat and put it in between its paws. Just trying to be exactly obedient right!? Haha but we did find a lot more than ever and we even had a baptism this week!

We were meeting with one of our progressing investigators named Gabriel, and he was like I want to be baptized April 1st! We were so excited! It was a little rushed and thrown together since it is conference weekend but we made it happen! It was truly such a spiritual weekend for me! He has been taking the lessons for awhile now and we didn't see his baptism coming that quickly!

On top of that another one our investigators watched all of conference except the last Sunday session and texts us yesterday. He says "Hey sisters are you doing anything the 22nd of April?" We both laughed and joked saying we should say " baptizing you?" but we said " How come?" He then said " I think that would be a good day for me to be baptized!!!!!!!!!!"

At this time we were talking with our ward mission leader and we all started freaking out because we were so excited! Another one this month! We were so pumped haha.

ON TOP OF ON TOP OF: We were at the park, didn't know why because their wasn't a lot of people there but we went up to this lady and her dad. The dad started talking to us and remembered he had seen Sister Jones before and we starting chatting. Then he said that only 5 minutes before we got there his daughter who is about 30 was talking about how she wanted to be baptized! We even invited her to be baptized and she said yes! We have a return appointment this next week hopefully it turns out!

Also General Conference was AWESOME! Probably one of the best weekends of my life! I loved all the talk holy cow it is hard to choose just one. I was literally just so in-tuned with the words of the prophets and apostles. After each talk I was just like yes! The church is true!

I loved The Prophets testimony to gain a testimony of the small and simple truths. We must start with the basics and build up in the gospel. We also got to go to the Ramatte and got some good funnel cake! I love Sister Jones we have a great time together. The work is hard but it is also the greatest experience of my life!  Love you all !!!!!

Have a great week!
Love,

Hey Everyone!

How was everyone's week? So much happened this past week! We had exchanges on Tuesday with the Porterville Sisters! That was a lot of fun we got to talk to so many people. It is spring break over here for a lot of the schools and so we headed to the park. I was with Sister Jeffrey she was so fun. We taught this one guy the Restoration and he said he had been praying to know what his purpose in life was. It was a super spiritual experience for us all and every time I testify I know it is true!

  Another biking week! Wahoo!

The women's general conference was so good! I learned a lot and I loved the talk on certain women. How we can stand firm in our faith. We also had an amazing sacrament meeting yesterday. One of the best by far on my mission. It was based on Faith and Prayer. This family named the Ashcrafts spoke. All of their children too and I learned so much. There was apparently a recent face to face with Holland and Eyring. They talked about how when we pray we often lean on things or speak very casually but he is literally our Father in Heaven. We need to stand up straight as if we are eye to eye with him and show more gratitude.

I have tried it and I love it! I know prayer is the opportunity to speak to God. For us to stop and listen and ponder the gifts he has given us. To thank him for sending his son Jesus Christ.

Not much more! Sister Jones and I have a lot of fun together. Loving the new area as well! Tons of good members out here!

Lots of Love
