Mar. 20th, 2017

Hi Everyone!,
I have had such a busy and crazy week! I am now in Lindsay, CA with Sister Jones. She is awesome! She is from Vernal Utah! She went to school at SVU though so she is familiar with the East Coast!

We have gotten along really well and we laugh a lot.  She reminds me of a friend back home and we have become united as a companionship pretty fast!

We got the opportunity to host a mini mission this past weekend too! It was so much fun we were in a trio! Her name was Hermana Phippen and she was from Visalia.  She had taken Spanish in High School and helped us out a little bit. We teach a TON in Spanish out here. We even translate in Relief Society. Yeah that was probably the hardest thing I had ever done. Sister Jones' Spanish is awesome too. We are over a Ward but they have two different sacraments for each language. I bore my testimony in both and got to share where I was from and all. It was awesome. The people here are so nice! They feed us so much and I truly love it.

We have biked so much! Holy Cow. Since we are so far from Fresno (where all our meetings are) we have like no miles to use here in Lindsay.  We biked this whole week but we found SO much. We are so excited to follow through with them this week.

Yeah we also totally crashed the bikes! Well kind of. Haha Sister Jones was in the front and I was in the middle then Sister Phippen was behind me. Sister Jones stopped suddenly to say hi to these people and give them a picture of Christ. We crash like dominoes one right after the other. SO embarrassing haha but we have learned to laugh off at awkward situation, rejection, and just in general.
We also created a wonderful teach we have been eating for breakfast! It is overnight oatmeal. I know it sounds gross but it was good! It is just oats, blueberries, almond milk, brown sugar, and bananas. We have loved it! It was super OATY!

They had a confirmation too  yesterday and we have two with baptismal dates. We are so excited to keep finding and declare the gospel. We went to the Flea Market here which is every Friday. We had some really good Spanish corn! It was such an eventful week!

We also had some really good papusas and a terrible empanada haha. Anyways hope everyone has a great week! Lots of love!

Mar. 13th, 2017

Hi Everyone!,

My time in Kerman has come to an end! I am so sad to leave here but I know it is my time to move on and venture out. I have been blessed with the chance to serve here though. Today is my last day here and tomorrow I am headed to Lindsay! It is super close to Portersville where I will live.
My new companion will be Sister Jones. I have heard great things and I am excited to serve with her! She was companions with Sister Maxwell, my trainer and I am ready! Super nervous for my first new area but I do trust in the Lord.

We had such a crazy last week in Kerman. We were having a very difficult time with Cesar. He had just been baptized but was yet to be confirmed. He didn't go last Sunday because of work and then he got upset with his work a lot and didn't ever want to meet with us. It was so disappointing and we did a lot of praying for him. He calls us Friday and apologizes for everything and says he wanted to meet. Anyways we met with him and prepared him for his confirmation! He got confirmed yesterday, received the priesthood, and was set apart as a ward missionary! He is going to do great things in his future and I know he will be a great missionary!

We finished exchanges and I am so glad to be here on a mission. I have met some great people. I have received so much help and guidance. I know I was suppose to be here at the time I am. I have strengthened my own faith as I have tried to share it with others. I love sharing our message with others. I know as a our faith increases so does our desire to share it. Looks like I might be able to come back to Kerman for a baptism though. We will have to see we have two with baptismal dates. I am so excited! I love missionary work!

I hope everyone has a great week :)
Lots of love,
Hermana Pachner

The RS Birthday celebration for our Stake is in conjunction with our service project for Days for Girls, and the Sisters are here, helping out too! I don't know if you are familiar with Days for Girls, but we make feminine hygiene kits for girls in underdeveloped nations. So far, in two years, we have made 2100 kits!!

Happy 175th to the Relief Society!!

Hello family and friends!

How is everyone doing? Hoping all is well out there! We had such a crazy week! I went on exchanges to Los Banos.. yes it is named that for a reason it stinks haha. Anyways we didn't have a car we couldn't bike because the girl I was with just had, had surgery. So we had to walk everywhere.. anyone who knows me knows I was not patient enough for that. SOOO we saw a member while we were walking and we asked her to borrow her kids scooters! Haha mean while we had been pushing a stroller for a bit carrying our bags and water. Definitely looked weird so we had to put that away quick! I had a barbie scooter and Sister Tatakamatonga ( from Tonga) was on the Teenage Mutant Ninja turtle one.

We figured we were being more effective and our sister training leader just laughed when we told her and said whatever works! haha

Another crazy thing was exchanges with Sister Balls in Merced. Totally got attacked by a rat in someone house. Only in Merced! She is awesome though I love serving with other missionaries. Sister Anderson and I were exhausted though! We had a lot of split days this week! I felt like we were hardly together this past week. Definitely good to have her back! We went to Fresno Saturday and we got to teach with a missionary who served here in Kerman 9 years ago! He helped out so much and he said it was funny he looked up from his phone after the lesson and we were both off talking to people. I have learned to FEAR NO MAN! I have become better at just talking to people and how to approach them. I still get nervous when there is groups of people but I am slowing overcoming that fear. I know the second we have fear the faith is gone. So I am trying to purely have faith! We have transfer calls this weekend on the 11th! Here goes! We shall see what happens!
Anyways hope everyone has a great week! love you all so much! Thanks so much for the cards and prayers!
LOTS OF LOVE!
