Feb. 27th, 2017

Hola Friends and Family,

So CESAR GOT BAPTIZED!

Hermana Anderson, Cesar Martin, Hermana Pachner, and Hermana Maxwell

It was such an awesome experience. Sister Maxwell got to come back since her and I found and started teaching him. I was so happy to see her I have missed her so much!

He is getting confirmed in a week because this past weekend was Stake Conference. The last lesson we had before he was baptized we reviewed the interview questions and he was like, "Sisters how can I go on a mission?" I was like WAIT WHAT! He wants to go so bad and he is just so prepared it has been awesome. His change is huge as well. He wasn't all that interested at first and were originally teaching his friend mainly. However he became more interested over time and now he is so happy all the time.

I love seeing the change in people as they accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They become happier and life becomes just a little easier to cope with.

It has been crazy how lead by the Spirit this past week has been. We went biking this week and at times had to stop at a random door and knock it. Only to find out that they knew a return missionary who had just visited our area this past Sunday. He said to come back and it was just awesome. Then one day we were looking for a restaurant to go to with some members for dinner and we were lead to this older Mexican Restaurant and turned out our waitress was super interested in our message!
Then the next day we were headed to Fresno to visit some Investigators and Less-Actives and there was SO much traffic. Think we sat for about an hour and moved like 3 miles. We had a feeling to go back to Kerman and visit this family. I had never meet them before but heard of them and wanted to see how they were doing. Anyways turns out they were praying for us to come see them. She started crying when we opened the door and it felt amazing to be a literal answer to a simple plead to the Lord. I know the Lord is very involved in the details of our lives.

Our Savior loves us and he yearns for us to return to his presence. I know because of the Atonement lives are changed and happiness is a direct result. He has chosen all of us to be here and to serve him, however we must choose him. He can help us in so many ways he can heal us and guide us. He has placed us in families to be strengthened, to learn, and to grow. I know with faith comes great power and we must not only Believe Christ but Believe IN Christ. He has promised us if we try and do our best we can have eternal life. I know this church is true, I have seen it change lives for the better. I love you all and hope the best for everyone this next week!

Hola Famiy&Friends,
How was everyones week? Mine was super crazy. Tons happened but I want to focus on all the positives. We have a baptism coming up for Cesar Martin! He is set to go on February 25th this Saturday! We are so excited for him and love seeing the gospel change him. We met with him last night and he talked about that ever since he has been taking the lessons opportunities with his work have opened up. He actually owns a ranch and is the boss. He recently fired a lot of workers and had said work has been stressful. Next day we taught him and he had said tons of people were showing up at his work asking for jobs.

Anyways we are teaching a few people with baptism dates for March but we shall see. The Elders baptized a family yesterday and we are so excited to get baptisms now! Our bishop and ward mission leaders have been so supportive and helpful!

Not much else happened this week. Next week I will have a lot more to talk about! Thanks for all the love and support sent my way! I hope everyone had an awesome Valentines Day!

Love you all!,

Feb 13th, 2017

Hello everybody!,
What an amazing week it has been. Sister Anderson is awesome and we have been able to work together pretty well in Kerman. We found tons of new investigators and blew our goals out of the water this week by teaching about 40 lessons! It was so awesome. We have a baptism coming up for the 25th of this month! His name is Cesar Martin. He has changed so much since we met him and has been coming to tons of our church activities and church! He loves going and says he wants to be married in the temple. That made us both pretty happy! When we gave him the church tour he said he is ready to be baptized! Wahoo!
I was able to go on exchanges this week in Madera with the Valentine YSA sisters. How different YSA! (young single adults) They are literally our age. I felt a little more intimidated but I enjoyed it a lot because we can relate so easily to them.
Last Monday we were headed to the gym to play Volleyball with some members when we realized we locked the keys in the car. That was an adventure because we ran to the church and asked to borrow a phone.. yeah we didn't have that either. Anyways the Assistants came down and gave us a spare and then we all celebrated with pizza. It was all well in the end!
I got sick a few nights ago and the Elders gave me a blessing. I literally stayed up until 2 am struggling to sleep and feeling dizzy and sick. It was not a good night but the next day I felt better and was back out traveling to Fresno!
Anyways, so happy for the knowledge of Eternal Families. There is so much hope in knowing that we can always be with our loved ones forever and that death has no sting. We know because of the perfect plan of Jesus Christ that we can be together and happy. I learned a lot this week that I need to keep my chin up through thick and thin I have the greatest gift of all . A gift that can never be taken away and that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that he loves us and that it is only through and with Christ that we can achieve perfection. He already chose us. We MUST choose him. There is no better person to trust. Lots of love hope everyone enjoys there Valentines Day. Cherish every relationship and be happy!
Love,
Hermana Pachner

Hi Everyone!,

This past week has been so crazy! Since Sister Maxwell left it hasn't been the same! I miss her so much serving here without here hasn't been the same. She knew the area so well too! We have had a good week though! We found some solid new investigators and hit all of our goals for the week even though we didn't have as much time as a normal week. This weeks lessons where the highest I have ever had them since I have been in the field! So successful! Sister Anderson is awesome! She is so kind and dedicated. I love it! She is so good at Spanish too so she is helping me out a lot!

We finally had one of our investigators come to church. He loved it and he stayed for all three hours! We were so happy for him. We are hoping to set his baptismal date tomorrow. We are just excited to keep finding. This past Friday I spent the day in Fresno/Kerman with Sister Ellsworth. (she is a member in our ward) because Sister Anderson was at a Leadership training meeting. It was one of the craziest days! We were all over the place and exhausted by the time her meeting was over! We did get to eat lunch with a less-active though!

Super Bowl Sunday made it hard to find but it was around 7 at night and we were walking around outside about to try to knock some more doors and we found someone. Then we went down a little further and found two more people! We found 3 new people in 30 minutes after no luck! It was truly a blessing. They were very receptive and we are excited to go back and teach them!
Today we are going to the church to play Volleyball with some members and out to pizza!
Love Mondays! They are such a good time to relax and get things done.

Anyways here is to another good week!

Love you all so much!,
Hermana Pachner
